ABOUT MARCHER LEADERSHIP
Marcher Leadership began over 15 years ago with the mission of developing staff to reach their potential, and to grow leadership capability as a major enabler of this. Marcher Leadership has worked with businesses of all sizes, from multi national ASX listed companies, organisations operating in the Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) sector, and even small family businesses and start ups. The work involved has included (but not been limited to) process redesign, cost reduction, business improvement, organisational restructure, strategic planning, training, leadership development, project management, and IT specification and selection.
Marcher Leadership is a highly experienced leadership and business coaching, facilitation and communications business, started by Mark Cowan-Aston in 2001. Following a successful career in the military, Mark transitioned into management consulting over 25 years ago, and brings to his clients considerable business knowledge acquired from working in many industries, rich life experience, and a pragmatic "can do" approach that resonates with staff at all levels of an organisation. With deep experience in business consulting including project management, productivity improvement, culture change and change management, and transformational leadership, Mark's focus is now firmly on leadership development and training, and the complementary skills of effective communication and presentation.

As John Maxwell says, "Everything rises and falls on leadership." Simply being in a leadership position does not make a leader. He or she must understand how their own behaviour contributes to the growth and success of their people, their organisations, and themselves. A leader, as Naploeon said, is a "dealer in dreams", and leaders at all levels must appreciate the influence they have on the lives of their followers. A hands on leader himself, Mark Cowan-Aston has worked with leaders across industry for 25 years and understands how effective leaders function, his leadership programs are "real world" and not theoretical, and positively impact and grow leaders at all levels.
Marcher Leadership is a certified partner of the John Maxwell Team, and now can access and deliver leadership, training and coaching services using the resources of the world's foremost leadership expert, John C Maxwell. Over the past 20 years, John has written over 60 books on leadership, has presented on leadership to many organisations including the United Nations and West Point Military Academy, and has developed a global team of influencers to improve the quality of leadership in all sectors across the world.
PRESENTATION SKILLS - Did you really connect ?
Many communicate - few connect. The Perfect Presentation Skills program allows existing management teams and assembled groups to work together over a concentrated day to enhance their existing presentation skills through the course content, but also through learning with, and from each other. The program is a "hands on" practical experience, where extensive use is made of video to enable participants to review and learn from their own performance.
BUSINESS COACHING - "Effective coaching can happen in a day, a week, or in thirty seconds."
Leadership and presentation skills, while they may be difficult assets to master, are never-the-less, skills. As such they can be taught, practiced and improved. Can anyone be a great leader? Probably not; there are external factors that contributed to create a Churchill, a Thatcher, or a Mandela. Good, competent and confident leaders can however definitely be developed, and an effective coaching program identifying the strengths and development areas of individual leaders can achieve this. What the world, and every organisation in it needs today more than anything else is better, stronger and more capable leaders.
