In the modern workplace both employers look for key traits in emerging leaders to ensure the success and growth of their organisations. Generally these can be catergorised into six attributes.

Emerging leaders are high performers, with big goals and dreams, so its only natural they go above and beyond in their approach to work and delivering results. They aren't happy with ‘average results.’ They go for big results which significantly contribute to the growth and success of an organisation. 

2. High Energy

It is a fact that leaders, including emerging leaders, have high energy. This comes from a combination of good physical, mental and emotional health. Great leaders make their health a priority. This means eating well, exercising, eleviating stressors, and managing and regulating their emotional state. 

3. Influence and Persuasion

Leaders naturally inspire others to follow them, even without a fancy title or position. They have people behind them who look to them for inspiration, guidance and support. They naturally influence their peers and colleagues and are able to use this influence to get their point across and have it acted on. 

4. Good Values and a Code of Conduct

Having good values like integrity, commitment, and loyalty along with a code of conduct that acts as a guidance system in life are core attibtues of emerging leaders. These help them with making decisions and overall choices. 

5. Positive Outlook

Emerging leaders face any challenge with a postiitve and overall stoic attitude. They often turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones for success and adversity into advantage. 

6. Resilience 

As a result of their overall positive outlook emerging leaders have developed their resilience to a high degree and are therefore able to bounce back from challenges better. They often dont give up and won't throw in the towel easily.
